Chapter 3

Mable’s Willing And Able

Mable Sniggers was not like everyone else . She spoke with the kind of people that society avoided and those who were on the fringe . She seen injustice and in her own way tried to address that in her own way . Her involvement with members of the local graffiti gang was an issue for many people however not an issue for her because she was always willing and able to defend her actions if anyone challenged her choices or the way of life that she lived . She helped in her own way to make a difference by the things she said and the things she did . Making people aware of the bigger picture was what made her tick .Mable was one of a kind in her outspoken and unspoken ways . She connected with people of the far side of life and her dreamlike lifestyle opened up doors in a magical way that most people could never even begin to imagine . If ever there was a need of something that had to be doer Mable was willing and able to answer the call to realign the stars and bring harmony back into the universe again . er recent success with her artwork projects brought her recognition and status as a local identity .
Apart from her artistic gift Mable was also gifted with making conversation out of nothing . She was able to create with expression lines of conversation mixed with exaggeration and interesting fascination . She was always on the pulse and heard lots of interesting stuff about what was going on around town . If she didn’t know the gossip nobody did . She was like the on-line news channel , with all the reports , news and views people often referred to her as the heart of the community . During the year Mable was the one people would come to with projects and fundraisers because it was said if Mable supported a cause, then it was sure to be successful and her connections with street life and most of the gangs gave her kudos and acclaim with anyone who would approach her . The problem is she also had lots of minders who made it difficult to speak to her or find out where they she could be found . Mable was complex , deep and silent and then she rise like storm
revealing the secret side of a fascinating magic that made her unique .
Mable was always willing to take a chance on romance ambit her previous three attempts with Bill who always wanted to be the first to speak and Phil who couldn’t keep up with Mable and her artistic pursuits and then Will who was to lay back and uninteresting for Mable . Even still if the right person came along Mable would be willing and able to try again at having a steady relationship .
In the grapevine Mable had heard that Bill had married a girl called Jill who was a pole dancer and took ill all of a sudden leaving poor Bill with the price of her funeral and he ended up dying from a broken heart .
Phil took look off on the road with a gypsy in a caravan that was run off the road by a truck that had lost its brakes and they all went tumbling down a hill and eventually sinking in a lake that ended all their lives .
Will was the only one who had survived Mable’s fallout but he ended up as a recluse living like a hermit and staying out of sight from everyone .
Mable’s life was always busy with different things happening all at the same time She was happy in her own way with no body with her . She had time to do her artwork , do her spot at the karaoke in the bar once a week , attend bingo with the usual crowd , attend the trivia nights , catch a movie at the cinema ,
look after Dan’s horses and last but not least her most favourite pastime was when she turned into a social butterfly fluttering all over the town bringing news and views , catching up with all the going’s on everywhere and collecting her fan mail from Mrs Delaney at the post office .
Even in her quietest moments she liked to mediate and chant with incense burning inside her railway carriage home . It was her time to connect with the energies of the universe and become a leaf allowing the winds of the soul to carry her away where no one has ever been on the streets in her imagination where people loved to stop for a talk with this unique lady who lived a magical existence in her charismatic life.
