The Sad Leaf
By Paul McCann.
In a moment of grief
my tears fell on a leaf
in the dawn of the day .
It’s been 36 years
in this garden of tears ,
since you have gone away .
In the soft morning dew
I can almost see you
in every tear I shed .
Life a leaf on tree
my beautiful Terry
I can’t believe you’re dead .
.
