What We Have Been Given

The trilogy of our sorrows is the faith hope and charity

that sustains us through the struggles of life that come our way .

We don’t apply for the job , its given to us and the work is constant

with a promised reward at the end of the day .

If we should choose to revisit the things we’ve put away

there is never any passing parade for those works we have done .

To give all that we have and when there’s nothing left,

ask for nothing in return,

then we won’t be disappointed with getting none .

Nothing from nothing leaves nothing ,

except for what we had in the first place ,

which was an amount of  faith hope and charity .

Depending on how much we have been given

so will be the amount asked of us and that goes on into eternity .
