When The Dealer Calls Your Bluff
By Paul McCann
Who are you when you’re down on your knees ,
what’s wrong with you ,
if you please get a grip of yourself ,
where do you want to go from here .
Catch yourself on one day you’ll be gone
when the dealer calls your bluff .
When the dealer calls your bluff
and your chips are down ,
that’s not the time to throw in your hand ,
you’ve got to make it up somehow
and ask yourself ,
is my bluff strong enough to stand .
You might think , its all sewn up
and you’re in control of the game
Good job, new house,
but I’ll tell you what ,
sometimes things can change .
Is your foundation strong enough,
when the dealer calls your bluff .
When the dealer calls your bluff
and your chips are down ,
that’s not the time to throw in your hand ,
you’ve got to make it up somehow
and ask yourself ,
is my bluff strong enough to stand .
With all the aces tucked up your sleeve,
you’re thinking , Jacks all right
but nobody told you, a marked deck’s used,
everything’s kept out of sight .
So ask yourself is your hand good enough ,
if the dealer calls your bluff .
When the dealer calls your bluff
and your chips are down ,
that’s not the time to throw in your hand ,
you’ve got to make it up somehow
and ask yourself ,
is my bluff strong enough to stand .
