Walking Backwards Facing Forward

Where we first started is where I dream to return
Return facing forward, with the world on our backs.
Everything else is not yet explored,
Not yet, implies time will drive change into actions.
Then share meaning between words, and again into actions.
Building and learning and
Breaking the seemingly insurmountable walls along the way.
If two begin with the end in mind,
Eyes wide and heart prepared
A limitless start departs from the center
Now can they only walk backwards?
The secure foundation stands with thin walls
It seems not much to destroy, but everything to create
Harnessed in a well planted seed
The dream is for a miracle
The prayers are for the rain
Maybe, one day, the scaffolding will come down
To reveal something magical
Standing at the Western Wall represents the indestructible,
And serves as a reminder of the highest place,
A commitment that both humbles, and empowers- something indescribable.
Meant to never fully fathom, since the passion for learning begins with unknown.
We face each other, both walk back, and the distance ignites our internal.
Each grab one end of the rope at our feet.
Behind us the magnetic pull of attraction.
On a search for meaning, towards the source of purpose.
Limitlessness balanced by a haunting resistance
For it's so rarely okay, to lean back enough to feel.
Not far from the ground I fly with potential,
I face your soul which emanates a beautiful picture.
One fragment so familiar but the rest, I've yet the chance to know
I won't turn my back and will hold on with both hands
But until then, please don’t let go.
