    I lay you down like a page,
warm beneath the sun
of a desk lamp.
Our bodies curve into vowels
and mouths shape
soft, exotic verbs.
These fingers are quills.

I think it really cuts us down to essentials - every word has to be so perfectly placed - a lesson for me, certainly, Miss Rambler!
