Marie and her Lamb

Marie had an ailing lamb.
It's skin was cold as ice.
And everywhere Marie did go, the lamb was there in a trice.

It followed her to the shore one day.
Which was against the rules.
It made the soldiers laugh and sing to see her try and swim.
