would you give me tears instead?

If I were to give you food of thought
would you call me foolish?

If I were to smile and laugh
would you scowl and punish me?

If I were to run a hundred miles a day
would it never be far enough?

If for all my tomorrows I give to you
would you take all of my today's?

For all these 'if's' there is just one answer
