Everything is a lie
P K Routray
Once I did try
closing my eye,
imagining with a deep sigh,
without falsehood and lie
how competently the human race
the world today, they can face?
Heard cries of many a mother
with cries of their babies together.
without telling a lie
she could not stop her babies’ cry.
Grandma stories children could not listen,
to test students, teachers could not set question.
From a false postulation
Scientists proceed for the invention.
Administrator for administration,
artists, poets painting their imagination,
players outwitting their peers on track and field,
hunters hunting from strategic hide
adopt a degree of false hood and lie
failed now they to succeed and rise high.
Courts, parliaments were found locked
police politicians were jobless and shocked.
Books of fictions and novels were set on fire.
Without promise of Heavenly love ended many a love afire.
Disappeared news papers, cine house and TV show
unpaid were artists with advertisements’ incomes were too low.
Milk, cows did not yield
as calves we could not shield.
Suddenly me it struck that I myself am a lie,
idle mind forcing me, the truth of life to defy.
Everything on the world is transitory and a lie
with passage of time they pass by.
