Heavenly Jealousy
P K Routray
Up from heaven
celestials look down,
see they earth
with beauty and mirth
Their Eden stands no where
when earth’s grandeur they compare.
Visit they must
to enjoy the earth’s crust.
“The Creator has shown favor
difficult His mystery to decipher
He goes to the earth very often
gets birth there as man common
pass on them His creative power”
thus made them bitterly sour.
They went to the creator
to tell his acts as improper.
To see the earth from close quarter
God gave them powerful binocular
Lo behold! they saw abysmal picture,
under human vices the earth in torture.
Shocked were they at the creator’s plight
prayed Him to take another incarnation and on the earth to alight.
Offered they themselves to be His messenger
to go to the earth to serve needy and poor.
Saying holds “Distant Mountain looks green
barren and bald when it is closely seen.”
