A Philosophical Model

Body and intellect

none ever dare neglect

Them, keenly men nourish

to survive sustain and flourish

body by exercise and nutrition

intellect by knowledge assimilation

But mind gets improper attention

as its mending is known to none

Without proper nourishment

the mind grows virulent

with its Catastrophic spell

turning heaven to devilish hell.

Sure it is, the mind can turn hell to a heaven

if passions, it can with control fasten.

A metaphoric model

Hindu philosophers spell

“ Body as the chariot they project

with charioteer as the intellect.

Five horses are its five senses

The mind is the reins of the horses”

The soul on the chariot moves right

if the reins n the horses are held tight

The healthy mind works as per intellect

matured wise with body healthy and perfect

The soul, the occupier moves right

His life is enlightened by Divine light.
