"Brave Man"
Found I a brave man when duty calls
To free the nations, slaves, and thralls
At last a brave man to stand and fight
For liberty's sounding and freedoms light
The old world still lingers to drag its feet
For the hatred of the new, and jealousy meet
The soul of this brave man when task is done
In life or death this prize has won?
Ghost or living, immortal still
For this servant with courage hath done Gods will
Say to the brave man, where do you go?
To the sands of Sahara or arctic snow?
To the lands of the warrior as man not pawn
Where from none have returned, though many have gone
