Once upon a Time
There was a LINE.
On a hill half - buried
Half awake - hurried.

Then came a MAN
Caught it and began -
To stretch,
Stir,
Shake.

The poor sleepy line
Did awake

Began- to move
Slowly- curling curving
Gently- upward

Turned- right
Went- straight

And met a moon
Cusped
- Half open.

There it took TIME
The LINE
Which was fine
BUT-
It got late
She left her mate.

And reached a WELL
(It did cast a spell)

Here again she stopped
For a WHILE
Admired,
Adored,

And, as we Know,
It took TIME
Which was not fine.
For our poor LINE

The line
Went straight
Turned
In.

H.E.R.E . T.I.M.E. S.T.O.P.P.E.D.

The line met water
Drowned.

Turned into a stream
Fell
D
O
W
N

The hill
The sky
The fire
The water

Entered her sleepy abode
And sunk -
Curling
Curving
Very fast

BEFORE
Time could follow-
thesmalllittleline.
