Would it be too much to ask
To get you to come back
Later
When I’ve had a chance to think
So I can make witty answers
And convince you that I’m really
Clever
and funny
Underneath.
It wasn’t my fault
That my mind went blank
as you looked into my eyes
with an expression to make me forget everything
I can't be blamed if I looked vacant.
You’d just stolen my thoughts
My mind
Maybe even my heart
I don’t know yet.
If you go and come back
I’ll have recovered
Hit earth again with one hundred things to say.
Trust me

I just read your homework
I just read your homework poem from 2004 before I read this. My how you've grown as a writer.
I would just suggest that the lines
To make you to come back
Later
don't quite work. Maybe you don't want to lose the syllable for the count, by using something more grammatically correct, alternatively, maybe you could try this
would it be too much to ask,
to beg you to come back later
either way, nice poem
