We will never remain friends
Because all good things are destined to end
We can pretend no longer
So we move on and become stronger

Once we were lovers
But now we have others
It’s no great shame
Forget all petty irrelevance of blame

I made my peace and I don’t feel so sorry
You were just part of my overall story
It was all part of our lives great scheme
Sadly life is not always a dream

Another time and place
And things would still be the same
Like two self harmer’s
Both slaves to the pain

Too much pain and so much sorrow
Now I’m grateful you won’t be here tomorrow
I don’t think me unkind but it’s like removing a cyst
The reality is we just can’t coexist.
