[Continuing the hymn-for-Sundays series — posted a day early this week!]

Humankind, both men and women – 
for what do we all exist??
what’s the purpose of our being,
of what should our life consist?

That for which we were created
is to glorify our God
and enjoy Him, great Provider:
Master, Shepherd, Father, Lord.    

“Follow, heed the Maker’s guidance
if you want this thing to last.”
Our Creator, knows our needs, guides
– Words by which we can be blessed!

To be honest Rhiannon, it is a bit of a mystery, why God would want to be praised and glorified like this all the time? For him to want to care for us and look after us that makes more sense really, as his children and creation.

However I do not doubt that it is so, that we must always glorify his name.

That is an interesting point, Tom. For us to want praise would be wrong, but God being who He is it is right and good for Him to be praised always, and for Him to delight in it! Rhiannon
