Disappearing daughter

We heard a bump on the ceiling.
Had she fallen out of bed?
All was quiet but up I went.
The bed was empty where she had been,
and she was nowhere to be seen!

Puzzled, I suddenly looked underneath.
And there she was, under the bed, and fast asleep!
She had fallen out, and just rolled over
to continue in depth of steady slumber
without care for hard floor, or her overhead cover!

The IP has suddenly sparked memories of a few odd incidents from my long past!
