What’s come of your age?
– have you learned from the past
things that will last,
so grey head a crown,
respect and renown
for wisdom, and empathy,
gentleness, humility,
kindness, integrity,
godliness, honesty.…

not soured cynic
bitter, acidic,
awkward, grumpy, lumpy.
self-centred and greedy …

Thank you, Tom, for quoting those verses. 

Many don't realise the reward felt when using female skills quietly for benefit of husband and children, though there might not be immediate fame from it.

And the temptations towards short-term selfish living is there for men and women, and the blessing of elderly men and women who have learned during their lives, even through mistakes, and are able to exemplify the wisdom of God. Rhiannon

Nice to hear from you, Dougie.

We all have much progress to make, but if we choose to grow in God's wisdom, we will have more peace and be more useful and respected by others, than if we reject it and grow more cynical and sour as we get older! It's not the silver hairs that give us wisdom, but they are a sign that others will hope to find that we have gained some measure of maturity and wisdom to share! Rhiannon
