Memories can sink, forgotten:
suddenly can rise, unbidden,
deep from somewhere in the mind.
But when flesh weakens with age,
clouding much we fail to find,
surely they’re not lost – for sometimes
pathway opens, glimpse returns.
– Even when this body crumbles
in the grave, the spirit soars –
soon reclothed, then still there’s access
to those earth-time memory stores:
mysteries of memories!

Very well put, Rhiannon. An excellent evocation of a sentiment I can completely identify with.
