He shuffles through the
crowd leaning left
hindered by the weight of
his satchel.
People know
he carries written music
for songs he wrote for them
about how he turned from a drunk
to being Born Again
lost years reclaimed through
the tunes he brings
about love and redemption
that people understand.
He used to be haggard and grey
now stepping to a new tune
in his elderly years
and dancing with souls
for Jesus.
