Head first down a hard frozen muddy ditch, dizzy drunk eyes watch
reflections in the shallow stream the occaisional whisp of cloud cross
a clear and icy sky.

Once steaming urine now frozen down his trouser leg and between his
legs and up to his belly while the vomit on his lips, chest and hands
crustates.

Distant sounds of party cackle and muzak thump. The voice on the radio
of a passing vehicle announces "its eleven seventeen and there's less
than one hour to go to the start of the new year!"
