My Dear Dad
I remember the times you sat me on your knee,
And thank you for the things you have given me.
My brother and sister were shown the same affection,
You were always there to point us in the right direction.
It was no effort for you no matter what we asked,
Even if you knew it would be a hard task.
Your love for us was plain enough there to see,
From our hearts we send affection, all three.
We have reached the age, that in the past you once knew,
And hope that we can live to the same principles as you.
Our children are just as we were when young,
And they send their love each and everyone.
Father we and our children learned a lesson from you,
Show patience and love and it will be returned so true.
Make time stand still and give us that passion you show,
For we know that one-day you will have to go.
