BEAUTIFUL GAME

I love football, the beautiful game

But I think it is a shame

That idiotic bigotry

Ruins the beautiful game.

If a player is black

If a player is not

If he is English

If he is a Scot

If he comes from France

Is there a chance

That they could be all the same

In the beautiful game

Surely the point should be

Does he play brilliantly

Because I am frustrated

With racism being debated

Deliberated

Cogitated

And chewed

While some carry on a mindless feud

It is time to realise

that we're all the same

And stop ruining our beautiful game
