Inspiration point (IP) The Language of Flowers
…following ancient footpaths, you stop every five minutes to collect another delicate flower or leaf that catches your eye
…look at the colour of this tiny petal…beautiful…she says, and walks on singing.
I remember the day when you told me to close my eyes
…hold out your hands, open now, tha gaol agam ort… you whispered.
the book you created
gathering natures flowers and leaves on hand made paper
the seasons full of colour and longing.
wisps of your hair weave through each page
like roots feeding each flower and leaf
the smells of a wild landscape, come alive with song, pages speak to me
a tear drop falls like dew, on a tiny petal
…beautiful…

Congratulations, this is today's Pick of the Day, 9th March 2023
No L-plates required here (see collection title for this piece). This is intriguing and deft poetry and that's why it's our Pick of the Day today. Do please share this on your SM, if you like it too.

Delicate and surprising,
Delicate and surprising, something fleeting and something enduring, just like a flower.
