On Full Body Scanners

The bottom-line is that the full-body scanners are just common sense, and are needed to prevent more planes being blown up: people's sacred conception of their privacy shouldn't put their fellow passengers in danger. The fact is that U.S. intervention(really) was all that was keeping Amsterdam from using such scanners; They already had them and they'll be operational in weeks.
See, the scanners are necessary because it's easier to make sure weapons of terrorism don't get on a plane than to figure out what's in every passenger's gray matter. The Obama administration has been supporting such scanners and Republicans have been the strongest party on repressing them. But look who's making all this Rush Limbaugh style noise immediately after a near tragedy.
At the end of the day, I don't think the Republicans or the Democrats can give us peace or prosperity... because absolute democracy is just one of our system's major flaws. That doesn't keep me from having limited admiration for the Obama administration, and no patience with the gum-flapping of a fellow who's responsible for us not having troops to do anything about Yemen or Iran(they're in Iraq, where Al Qaeda was not, and now is.)
