a prayer to an unknown God

I am not a fool who believes the earth is 4,000 years old, doesn't
see the vestigal tail on a fetus, or who fails to understand
Machiavellian morality. Nor do I mistake lightning for Jehova, a
snailshell for Islam, or chicanery for Buddhism. I've tripped as a
samurai warrior on the mountain and felt the cold breath of death on my
neck. I'm not afraid of sacrillage but shy from atheism. I do pray but
to an unknown God.
