(dedicated to my Ukranian friend
Oksana White)
The cold wind it howls
in Klamath Falls; it howls, howls
out "PERSEVERANCE"
yesterday it snowed
coating everything; but not
in my apartment
I have many books
cable TV, chronic pain,
also internet
my last love left me
a framed yellow flower that
still hangs on my wall
I was mad for her
last summer: cost me a lot,
was sweet anyway
icicles they hang
pretty, in Scotland Ashland
and in the Ukraine
I am like a bear:
this is not my season but
come Spring, I will roar
