One Little Flower

Grey-blue tarmac,
Brown bricks,
Concrete stair-well,
Drain pipes.
One little yellow flower;
Blooming delicate paintbrush petals;
On a thin, sturdy stem;
From soft green leaves.
Grey skies,
Miserable weather,
Giant buildings;
One little flower.
Then there were three,
With two buds yet to be,
Standing tall and tiny,
A little beauty; if you look and see.

Hi Shannan,
this is a wonderful little poem of the hope of
nature to exist even in the most unlikely places.
Really enjoyed and thankyou for sharing.

I use to see a yellow snapdragon flowering every spring on top of an old ruin factory wall where I lived, those walls are all gone now but this reminds me of it. Nice write!
