A secret place please

A secret place please
I’m so overwhelmed by life;
It’s so much bigger than I;
It covers all the universe,
As I stand in one cubic square.
Would someone show me where I could hide,
Somewhere safe, where I can tuck inside?
A little hidey-hole somewhere far away;
Warm and loved, hiding away.
Somewhere that’s secure, a different square,
Rocked to sleep, to beautiful sleep,
By a tender rhythm, a steady heartbeat,
In a blessedly welcoming retreat.
A place to be, without any worry,
Only for a little while,
Tucked away, sheltered from reality,
From every daily trial.
Quietly, in that secret place;
Far away from life’s rat race,
Resting from all the comedy
The engulfing tragedy;
There I could disappear
Tell me, is that place near?
I can keep the secret,
I’d love to hide away there.
Yet, as I rest, life will count what I owe,
Then it will seek me once again to go
