Such tenderness makes me want
Such tenderness makes me want to weep reading this Tina. I feel the helplessness and see all that love, too.

Hard to be a watcher,
Hard to be a watcher, supporting but not able to suffer instead, or really, as you say, knowing what is being borne, or how. I had forgotten what evanescent meant, had to check! Rhiannon

The fleeting lift of wings
The fleeting lift of wings into a clear, unruffled sky, I found those words so moving Tina. Imagining the soul being lifted up and carried somewhere peaceful...such a beautiful thought.
Loved your poem.

A beautifully written
A beautifully written although painful poem to read. It reminds me of the Dylan Thomas poem 'Do not Go Gentle Into That Good Night although I know his poem is expressing a different view to yours. Either way beautifully expressed.
