Oh Little England

Oh Little England
The Empire has crumbled
The Colonialists long gone
But the Landed Gentry
Carry on like nothing has changed
They inherited wealth
From exploiting slaves
And any dissenters
Met with early graves
Oh Little England
Your past has a trail
All across the African plain
You took the Bible
And what you believed
And sold it to natives
Easily deceived
Whilst they were praying
And clasping their hands
You sneaked out from Church
And stole all their land
Oh Little England
Your history is a lie
That just won’t die
Those who made a fortune
From servitude and pain
Have passed on their wealth
To generations with no shame
Keeping their money offshore
And their conscience in a cave
Knowing they’ll never be poor
Thanks to the African slaves
Oh Little England
And your blood soaked past
Doesn’t touch the soul of the ruling class
