The Light 1

All around her was darkness. She was naked. That's all she knew, but that was darkness too. She knew that she had legs and that she could move, but she could not see where she was going or what she was doing. She just began to run as hard as she could. She could feel the ground and her feet on the ground. That felt good. She felt good running but after a while she became hungry. She wanted to eat something. She could feel her mouth. She felt thirsty too. That's when it began to rain. That felt good, but also a little cold. She sat down on the ground and tried to remember what her name was and when it was that she entered the darkness. She felt that she was in the darkness for at least 10 years. That was a long time. How had she eaten? What had she eaten. There was this stuff that fell from the darkness above her. She ate that. She was so sick of eating that. A long time stretched into the darkness, she could tell it had indeed been a long time. Soon, the food started falling. It was fluffy and bread-like. At least there was something to eat. It kind of melted in her mouth. She lay on the ground, in the darkness, eating the stuff from the darkness. Was this life? Was this all there was?
She saw something. She was very excited. There was actually light coming from a door. She was very excited. She was very happy. There was actually light coming from a door. She could hear people running toward the door. She began to run. She was actually going somewhere. She could see the light around the door. It was an actual place. She could hear other bodies running toward the light. She said something. Did they understand? Did she make sense? She hadn't said something for so long. She kept on running. The light was becoming closer. She could hear many feet running. She was there. Here was a door with light around it. She could feel other hands and arms touching the door, trying to touch the light around the rectangular door. There were so many hands and so many arms and so many legs. Who were these people? They were all naked and they had been in the darkness for so long.
