Racism Reconsidered 1

If one thinks of himself as good, all others appear evil. If one denies the eros in himself, he projects his eros on others and desires them... this is actually a form of narcissism. Our sins are self-fulfilling and in the end, it's all our fault. We may as well live completely by ourselves in a solipsistic Universe as Allen Ginsberg did and fulfill our awful destiny which is to be a causa sui... a god, causing oneself and fulfilling oneself. If one thinks of oneself as right, all others are wrong, and the world looks so evil but it is also so attractive before it is a projection of our ideas about evil or wrong. Racism is self-fulfilling. I actually do not face much racism except for outright racism because I know that I am both good and evil. I don't see others as evil but both good and evil. But the people who believe that they are good probably see me as evil. But no one is Good except for God. I also think of South Koreans as both good and evil. So when people speak ill of South Korea, I try to understand where they are coming from. Of course, some people really piss me off but that's beyond my control. I'm sure I say things about America that sound racist, but that's my perspective. You will not find one man or woman who is not a racist unless they are really true Saints and those people cannot live in the world and face the gross reality of the world. If some people consider people beyond good and evil, that is simply an escape from reality. The weather is beyond good and evil. Things beyond human understanding is beyond good and evil, but everything that happens is really interpreted as good and evil by human beings although they in themselves are beyond good and evil. God is beyond good and evil in Job but that's the way that Job sees him, but Job has no idea of all the things God must consider before taking action. Does the fortune of Job override the mirculous mechanisms and functioning of the universe? No, it does not. God is... "Every angel is terrifying," wrote Rilke. Without good and evil, what meaning is there in our lives? What direction?

Having had a lot of dealings
Having had a lot of dealings with professional philosophers (is that oxymoronic? If not it should be) there is one thing that I have learned about them and that is that they are self assured didacts.
Am I racist? I would argue not, then again that is a predictable standpoint; so my non-racism or otherwise has to be judged by deeds and thoughts. Now my deeds are easily observed, my thoughts less so.
On balance I'm not sure that all people are racist.
I will gladly admit to being "attitudinist" I make judgements on an individual based on their attitudes. Or to take it a step further I am "peopleist" I make stock decisions on people in light of their attitudes (and behaviours). But that judgement cannot be foisted or transferred to every person - it stays appended to the individual that it was conveyed on.
As for Job? Not easily come by at the moment, and an inexcusable cause of racism amongst many (...erstwhile...) good people.

I've never considered myself
I've never considered myself a racist until recently, unfortunately if poked hard enough over time by someone horrible, I become a racist in my ab-reaction to them. I enjoyed your peice. thank you
