Shall I wage war on you because your church differs from mine?
Oh no, I will learn from you.
Hymns to the silence. Into the mystic.
I love you, but not in a possessive way.
We are free, free to love.
You've been my gentle stairway to 'heaven'.
Thank you, rave on

One Irish Rover
A mystic and an extraordinary incredibly versatile artist, regarded as his most original album and greatest work is the very early "Astral Weeks" but to me the more obscure "Veedon Fleece" closer to jazz is just as a work of genius, and for individual songs perhaps as “Summertime in England” (Common One) and "Listen to the Lion".
Generally very relaxing, calm and peaceful and of spiritual depth, his music grows on you and sometimes takes a bit getting used to.
Of the songs are very long but not monotonous much of his music is complex, very varied and combines christian and eastern mysticism and in a jazz-gospel-rock style, including irish folk and more popular secular music.
Without a doubt Van Morrison has been my greatest inspiration.
