The Dalek (4)

"A Dalek lived here," the estate agent told every client who visited the property, for such were the rumours he had heard. Nobody believed him, of course, it was just sales patter, to give the place a sense of mystery, uniqueness.
The Dalek itself was long gone. The company that had employed it could find no trace. It could be anywhere in the world, in the universe.
It had erased everything it had created, every file, every word. Patents were removed from the patent database, designs deleted, everything gone.
The company was left with an empty bungalow.
"Daleks aren't real," the estate agent's latest client said. "They're just made up, dustbins on wheels," he said. But he liked the roomy kitchen, the exceptional internet access and the view of the sea and the price was within his budget.
The Dalek had left, but the house had a new resident, and with it, who knows, maybe a new tale to tell.

I've really loved this story
I've really loved this story Terrence, but I'm not sure this ending quite does it justice - if you want to end on the high note of the new company and perhaps add a few details from here, that might be better?
