River of Time
By Tom Brown
- 117 reads
To your own self be true, the truth shall set you free
A lie which is half a truth is ever the wicked of lies
Be vigilant! A lie begets a lie
Truths and roses have thorns around them
truth's best ornaments are nakedness and shame
Truth is truth to the end of reckoning
truth needs not many words
Truth will prevail the truth of the Lord endures forever
daughter of time, truth knows no fears truth will out
And, like a horse unbroken
When first he feels the rein,
The furious river struggled hard,
And tossed his tawny mane,
And burst the curb and bounded,
Rejoicing to be free,
And whirling down, in fierce career,
Battlement, and plank, and pier,
Rushed headlong to the sea.

Interesting collecti, on, Tom
Interesting collection, Tom. Half-truths disguise the lie in themselves, and lead astray. Of course the truth that sets free is told us by Jesus (John 8:32)

Thank God for the truth that
Thank God for the truth that endures forever. Yes, Amen! The truth will set you free! But some people don't want the truth. Because of their truth, they believe, as far as they are concerned, it is their truth. I agree with you!
