Reflections

The reflected blinking stars
Perch on the surface, seep into him,
Cackle, and with ev'ry blunder
To dark'ning depths pull him under.

All haunted by ghosts
Of friends and lovers lost.
He moves through hazed terrain;
Stars quietly ablaze
At the back of his brain.
