A final hurrah

This old girl is more knickers than fur coats
Three cheers for the old girl
Hip hip hoorah for the dear old girl
She might be on her last legs
But tis a reason to celebrate, not mourn
To gloat
Over a hundred years old
A better innings than most
Last of her kind, except the one down the road
God they really don't make em like her anymore
It's all style over substance
All pizazz and flair
but not enough to win four score
Huzzah for the old girl
The memories she bestows
Man and boy, man and boy, footsteps and cries
Down her corridors and chambers flow
God save the old girl and godspeed the new
Of glories past and hauntings too
Tear down the old girl
Sell her off bit by bit and row by row
Mementos of a bygone age
when men were men
and did for love not just the dough
And once she's gone
The golden cockrel crows its last
She's gone for good
Not coming back
Never recovering her proud womanhood
Farewell old girl
A tear stained adieu
Pride filled cavalcade
A final salute
