Once upon a time, as you may know, there were creatures called Genies and some of them, very few, granted people wishes and did nice things but the majority of them were mean, nasty and evil and only caused trouble so one day a Wizard called G'Lottle made a magic bottle; a living, talking, walking bottle called the Daxonomous, or Dax for short, to hunt down and swallow up all the evil genies, trapping them within itself.
Unfortunately for the Daxonomous, however, when he had swallowed up the last evil genie in the world and returned to his master G'Lottle; his master said that he would have to throw him into the deepest part of the ocean where he would have to remain submerged for eternity so that no one could ever find him and pull out his cork, releasing the genies back into the world.
Ofcourse because the Daxonomous was not just an ordinary bottle but a living bottle, it didn't want to spend eternity at the bottom of the ocean; it wanted to see the world and so G'Lottle had to cast a spell upon the Daxonomous, putting it to sleep forever.
"You will only awake", said the Wizard, after he had put the magic bottle to sleep, "If someone pulls out your cork and releases the Genies. Then you must reacapture them at all costs to protect the human race".
Then, after saying this, G'Lottle threw the Daxonomous into the sea and it sank, magically to the very bottom of the ocean, burying itself in the seabed.
And for thousands of years it remained there with all the genies in the world, 1001 in total, trapped inside.
Unfortunately, the evil genies inside the bottle, finally came up with a plan to escape from the Daxonomous.
Combining all there powers together, under the leadership of a Genie called Gagool, they managed to break the magic weighing spell that kept the bottle weighed down at the bottom of the sea and, when that happened, the magic bottle, because the genies were spirits and so weighed nothing, floated to the surface of the sea.
Then the bottle drifted for days on the sea until, finally, it was washed up on a beach next to where two little girls called Tina and Tanya were sunbathing.
At first the girls thought it was just an ordinary, old bottle but then Tina noticed that it had a golden label with words upon it.
"This bottle contains 1001 genies. Do not open...ever!", she read.
"Genies!", said Tanya excitedly, "Oh, open it up. Perhaps they'll grant our wishes".
Tina however, because she was 7 and so 1 year older than her sister was slightly wiser.
"I don't know", she said, shaking her head, "The label says not to open the bottle and, if someone put them in there and put that label on then maybe the genies are bad genies".
Unfortunately, though Tina was the wiser of the two sisters, Tanya was stronger and she snatched hold of the bottle, pulling it from her sisters grip and then she started to tug upon the cork.
"Whoever heard of a bad genie", said Tanya as she pulled at the cork, "Genies are nice and they help people, like Aladdin".
Just then, however, the cork popped out of the bottle and, when that happened, all 1001 genies escaped bursting out of the bottle like a firework and whooshing up into the air.
"We're free", they shouted, happily, as they rushed towards the sky in a big glowing cloud of purple and blue and red, "Free at last".
But then, however, looking up, the girls saw the sky start to go dark and fill with booming thunder and lightning.
"Oh dear", said Tanya, looking at the blackening skies, "Perhaps you were right. Maybe those were bad genies".
But just at that same moment, something else started to happen that was equally amazing; the Daxonomous, the magic bottle that had contained the Genies, started to come to life; arms and legs growing from the body of the bottle and its cork turning into a tiny talking head.
"Where am I?", asked the cork, "Whats happening?".
Tanya was so surprised that she dropped the cork in the sand.
"Its talking!", she said to her sister.
"Well ofcourse, I'm talking", said the cork.
But then the cork leapt up into the air and popped back into the neck of the bottle in Tanyas other hand, the bottle that was its body and then the Daxonomous, fully formed, jumped from Tanyas hand, landing on the sand between the two girls.
"Whats going on here?", he said again, "And where is G'Lottle? And why was I open?".
"G'Lottle?", asked Tina, confused.
"Yes the wizard that made me", said the Daxonomous.
"We don't know any wizards", said Tanya, "We're just little girls. We found you lying on the beach".
"On the beach ?", asked the Daxonomous.
Then, suddenly, it dawned upon the magic living bottle what had happened.
"Then you girls opened me and let all the evil genies out!", he said.
"Evil genies?", asked Tanya starting to get very worried.
"Yes the most evil and powerful beings that ever existed", he said, "And if they're loose in the world there's no telling what they'll do. Thankfully, when G'Lottle made me, he gave me the power to catch and trap them, thats how I got them inside me to begin with".
But then, telling the girls to stand aside, bending his little legs, the magic bottle sprang up into the air; flying up to the dark, cloudy, thunderous sky.
Unfortunately, when the genies saw him coming, they united together into one giant genie with their leader Gagool as its head and, in this united form, with all their powers combined they were too strong for him and, seizing hold of him, they hurled him back down onto the beach.
"You pathetic little bottle", said the giant supergenie towering over and looking down at the Daxonomous, "With our powers combined there is nothing that can stop us".
Then stretching out its hand, the supergenie fired a lightning bolt towards the earth and, worried that it might hit Tanya and Tina, the Daxonomous took them both by the hand and flew away up into the air.
"We're flying", said Tanya, excitedly, looking down and seeing the sea far below them.
But Tina was not as excited, she was worried.
"I thought you said you could catch all the evil genies", she said to the Daxonomous.
"I could when they were seperated", said the magic bottle, "But they've learned to unite and now they're too powerful".
"Well. What are you going to do?", asked Tina, "You can't just let them take control of the world".
"Don't worry", said the Daxonomous, turning his cork head towards Tina, "I have a plan".
And saying this, suddenly, the magic bottle sped up and the Daxonomous Tina and Tanya flew at the speed of a sunbeam, far across the world, to the country of Egypt and then, coming down gently to land again in the middle of what looked like an empty windswept desert, he said to Tina,
"Now I need your help".
"To do what?", asked Tina.
"To raise the lost city of Sandantis", said Daxonomous, "A great city that was buried centuries ago beneath the sands of this desert".
"Well how do I do that?", asked Tina.
"Just close your eyes and hold out your right hand", said the bottle
So then, Tina did just that, she closed her eyes and stretched out her right hand towards the desert and, as she did she heard the Daxonomous say, "Arise Sandantis!".
But then, suddenly, the little girl felt a prick upon her thumb.
"Ouch!", said Tina and, opening her eyes again, the girl realized that the magic bottle had pricked her thumb with a pin.
"What did you do that for?", asked Tina angrilly, sucking her thumb.
"Sorry", said the bottle, "But unfortunately, the raising spell requires a drop of blood to work. I would have pricked myself but we magic bottles don't have any blood".
Just then, however, Tina forgot all about her sore thumb because then, suddenly, the earth beneath them began to shake and then, to the amazement of the two little girls they saw an ancient stone city rise up from below the desert sand.
"Wow!", said Tanya.
"Wow indeed", said the Daxonomous, "But now, Tanya. I need your help".
Tanya looked worried.
"You're not going to prick my thumb aswell are you?", she asked.
"No", said the magic bottle, "Nothing as simple as that".
