3 Outdoor Games and 2 indoor games – Base Balance, Tail Chase; Sentries; Playpark; Sideways and Colour Tag

Base Balance –
- This is a game involving bases and balancing.
- There is a square made of four bases.
- Each player starts on first base and has one book placed upon their head; at second base they have another book placed upon their head; at third base, another book; at fourth base another book
- Then, when they return to first base again they have a fifth book placed upon their head, at second a sixth, at third, a seventh and, at fourth, an eighth
- And so on.They go round and round with books stacking up upon their head until they drop the books.
- The player that manages to last the longest is the winner.
- To make it even harder, a very low hurdle can be placed between1st and 2nd base as well as between3rd and 4th base that a player has to simply step over while balancing the books.
Tail Chase –
1.This is a chasing game for two teams. The tail team and the chasers
2. Each member of the tail team wears a tail pinned to the back of them.
3. Then each member of the tail team tries to run along a track and cross the finishing line while a member of the opposing team chases them and tries to snatch their tail away.
4. Once each member of the tail team has run then the teams switch roles.
5. The team that has, after the game is finished, grabbed the most tails is the winning team.
6. A tail runner may zig zag and move in anyway necessary to evade a chaser.
Sentries –
1.Sentries is a team game involving speed and timing
2. At the end of a short vertical track, a runner from one team stands holding a ball
3. At three places along the track two lines are marked and, between those lines, a member of the opposing team is positioned but must walk, horizontally forth and back, like a sentry on guard.
4. The runner must get past the first sentry and then past the second and then past the third, without dropping or losing possession of the ball to score a point and thus has to pick the best moments to run.
5. The runner is safe before they have crossed a line in front of a sentry and once they have crossed a line behind a sentry.
6. A sentry has to either make the runner drop the ball or grab the ball to score a point and if he does that then the Runner is out.
7. When every runner on the running team has run; runners and sentries switch roles. The team with the most points wins.
Playpark – A flag snatching game (for grown-ups) using rides found in a children’s playpark
1. Playpark is an obstacle course game for grown ups (safety issues make it only suitable for grown ups).
2. First a player must go up the playpark slide, get a red flag from the top of the play park slide and run down the steps on the other side of the slide.
3. Secondly, they must get onto a round about that is being spun forcefully round by a person so that its revolving reasonably fast; grab the blue flag from the round about and get off it.
4. Then they have to sit on a swing and swing themselves high enough to reach a yellow flag overhead.
5. Then they have to walk to the centre of a see-saw and balance in the middle to seize a green flag from overhead.
6. And they have to collect all of these flags against the clock. The player that accomplishes it in the fastest time is the winner.
Sideways -
1.Sideways is a game for two teams of three, Passers and Defenders.
2. 1 Passer, Passer A stands at the back of the court, infront of him a defender, Defender A, stands, behind him another passer, Passer B, stands, behind him another defender, Defender B, stands, behind him another passer, Passer C stands, behind him another defender, Defender C, stands and behind him is the goal.
3. The aim of the game is for Passer A to throw the ball past Defender A to Passer B who has to throw the ball past Defender B to Passer C who has to throw the ball past defender C and into the goal.
4. However, the players on both teams can only move horizontally, left or right; they cannot move forwards or backwards.
5. The Passers have 4 chances at the goal; then the teams switch places and roles and the new passers have 4 chances at the goal.
6. The team that scores the most goals wins.
Colour Tag –
1. Colour Tag is a Tag game for two teams of 8. Team A and Team B
2. In both teams, each of the players has a different coloured sweater on – Black, Blue , Yellow, Green, Red, Orange, Purple and Grey with a white A or B upon the sweater according to the team
3. Black cannot tag blue or yellow; Blue cannot tag yellow or green; Yellow cannot tag green or red; Green cannot tag red or orange; Red cannot tag Orange or purple; Orange cannot tag purple or grey; Purple cannot tag Grey or black; Grey cannot tag black or blue.
4. Players must move by hopping or jumping
5. There is a line around the edge of the court and any player behind that line is safe.
