The Game of Temptation-
- The Point Squares: On a game board, there are a hundred squares. Twenty five of those squares have one of the 7 deadly sins upon them (wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony) and each sin is worth 5 points; Twenty five of those squares have one of the 7 Cardinal virtues upon them (Chastity, Temperance, Charity, Diligence, Forgiveness, Kindness and Humility) and each virtue is worth 5 points.
- The object of the game is to go around the board collecting points and the player that makes it to one of the AFTERLIFE squares at the top of the board with 50 or more points wins the game.
- Pitfall squares and Advantage Squares – Another 25 squares on the board are either Pitfall squares or Advantage squares. There are 2 types of pitfall squares – "You Lose (this number of) Points Squares" and "You Miss a Turn Squares". There are 2 types of Advantage squares, "Your Opponent Loses (this number of) Points Squares" and "Your Opponent Misses a Turn Squares".
- Just as in Snakes and Ladders, players roll a dice and move around the board the number of squares they roll but, unlike Snakes and Ladders, they may move in any direction.
- Game Pieces - There are 2 Angel Pieces and 2 Devil pieces in a box. Players get to play with an Angel Piece as long as they stick to the Virtue Squares.
- Players start in the BIRTH squares in the left and right corner squares at the bottom of the board.
- What is the point of this game? – The point is, "If you can score points from sins as well as virtues will you stick to the virtue squares or will you put winning the game before virtue?".
- Is this game advocating immoral behaviour? – No this game merely teaches you that the totally moral life is a difficult one which often involves sacrificing material gain, you have to risk losing the game if you want to be virtuous.
- So you lose the game if you sin? – Do you? That’s up to the individual to decide. But anyone who manages to win the game and remain an Angel certainly deserves kudos.
Count Popula (Game) -
- Count Popula is a game involving opening toy coffins with toy pop up vampires in side.
- It’s played on a board which is meant to represent the vampire, Count Popula’s underground lair and each player has a Vampire Hunter playing piece.
- Players, starting at either end of the board explore the board by rolling a six sided dice and moving their Vampire Hunter playing pieces along a path that splits up, like a cross road going in different directions.
- Placed round about the board are SIX identitical looking plastic toy coffins, 3 of the coffins contain treasure: 1 contains a golden goblet that has the power to heal vampire or werewolf bites (but only once before it loses its power); 1 contains a golden bat that gives you the power to turn into a bat so that you can fly (but only twice before it loses its power) to another part of the board rather than walking and 1 contains a golden horse shoe that allows you to double your dice rolls and travel around the board twice as fast (but only 3 times before it loses its power); one of them contains a pop up werewolf , one contains a pop up bride of Popula and one contains a pop up Count Popula.
- The unopened coffins are placed randomly on the board at the beginning of the game so players don’t know which coffin is which.
- Along the path there are also weapons to collect; Holy Water, Wolfbane,Silver Bullets (the only thing that can kill the pop-up werewolf), Crucifixes and Wooden Stakes. If you don’t collect the weapons you can’t defeat the monsters.
- Aim of the Game: The aim of the game is to kill Count Popula and either his bride or the Werewolf.
