This is a board game in which not only pieces move but players move as well:
- On the board is a series of concentric circles (Circles within circles) linked together by straight vertical and horizontal pathways. The goal is to reach the innermost circle which is Santa’s Grotto.
- There are two dices which players take turns to roll. A red one for the number of places a player may move their piece and a green one for the number of times the players must move clockwise around the board before sitting down again.
- Each player’s piece is a self-righting roly-poly doll. It has a semi-circular base and a little weight in it so that it won’t fall down. One piece is a snowman. One is a robin red breast. One is a Christmas tree and one is a Reindeer.
- On the board there are also the following squares:
Mistletoe Squares: If you land on a mistletoe square then you must kiss the person opposite you (a friendly kiss upon the cheek is acceptable).
Find Santa Square: Each time you land on a find Santa square. The player opposite you shuffles and lays out three picture cards face down. Two of them are pictures of reindeers but one is a picture of Santa Clause and you have to guess which one, if you guess correctly, you get to choose one of three Wishes a) A free turn b) To (Switch) switch places with one of the other players or c)To (Freeze) stay where you are for the next turn (rather than move round the board) and you can use your Wish at any time in the course of the game.
Trivia Challenge Square: If you choose to take the Trivia Challenge then a card is drawn from the trivia challenge box with a question written on it as well as a number representing how many places you will be able to go forward if you answer correctly or have to go backwards if you answer incorrectly.
