She’s lazing on her elbows
watching darting dragonflies –
he’s gazing at the windflowers,
swaying, mirrored in her eyes;
’Neath mounded clouds of Bedfordshire
they soon drift sound to sleep,
as a rambling Rose-Rugosa
drops its petals at their feet.
She stirs him from his slumber
to relate the strangest dream,
where Oberon proclaimed her
as his newfound Fairy Queen.
They kiss then climb the hillside –
sit and watch the sun go down,
he makes for her a daisy-chain
his one true love to crown.

Hi Tina,
this is so *magical,* I love it.
It's nice to know you're celebrating the fairies
today, with this special poem.
Have a magical weekend.
Jenny.

Reminds me of my 14-year-old
Reminds me of my 14-year-old self playing Titania only I wasn't very fairy-like and got the giggles in inappropriate places. Love the play though and love this poem!
