We Will

We Will
We will be what we are, said the liar.
His eyelids sewn shut by his hand.
We will clip the wings of the flier,
Angels buried deep in the sand.
We worship the Gods that we are
Heart felt deceit, is our alter.
Setting our sights on a star
Dead man switch cannot falter
Cold sliver of ice in the sky,
Flinging our bones at the black
We follow the demon called I
Dead marbles fall from the sack,
Lying not flying we fall,
Too late to ever turn back,
Not heeding the call,
We can’t even crawl
A turtle dead on its back.

Lot to think about there, Ray
Lot to think about there, Ray. Especially self being the god worshipped, and self leading like a demon, and His eyelids sewn shut by his hand. Wasn't sure what 'Dead man switch cannot falter' meant? Rhiannon

I like this a lot. Was a bit confused by same line as Rhiannon, but the poem is catchy.

Hi ray,
Hi ray,
Very dramatic and full of mystery. I thought this was great and definitely one to read out loud.
Congrats on the well deserved cherries.
Jenny.
