After two days of headache I succumbed.  I went to see a Doctor.  He was good about it, didn't make me feel as if I was wasting his time.  I was apparently in the possession of an acute condition.  He gave me pills and a form for work.  

His diagnosis was a relief, the Dreadful had been at it again with hints of someone working on sealing up valves etc in my face...  yuk!  I dislike them muchly.  Give me sanity with the Doctor any day.

So today I went off to post the letter to work.  It has to be done.  I left it until after I woke up at 4.45 ish am, when the weather had begun to cool down.  Not good it wasn't cool - we are in the grip of Mediterranean weather.  So hot!

The first post box I came too - had a note on to say it wasn't to be emptied til Wednesday, and I felt that was a bit long to wait.  There was also a strange bright yellow sports car (very loud and trashy) which for a moment played about in front of the area where the box was...  before going.

I walked up slowly with stops to the post office - which was open - the said yellow sports car (if it was the same one) was parked outside it.  Bright as sunshine.  I looked at it.  Perhaps s/he was a post box inspector.  What good money they must be on!

Feeling exhausted I walked on back, with stops, and one sit down episode in a bus shelter - where someone chatted to me about the hot weather.  

In the quiet shaded flat  I sat down to write this.  I don't want anymore excitement today - a good meal and enough pills to get me painlessly asleep over night...   

N.B.,  An odd thought, the lawn mower was used today in the garden, it was uncannily alike to the engine noises I've heard at night...  a recording?  Perhaps I should have made one?
