The nomad fled across the country and the pale horseman followed.During his travels the nomad stumbles upon a house, he knocks on the door and says “please, help me the pale horseman is coming for me!” a man answers the door, allows the nomad to stay at his house and gives him this advice “the pale horseman is dreadful however having him in your thoughts only draws him closer clear your mind of him and he will let you be.” Day turns to dusk, moonlight shines through the large window in the kind man’s guest bedroom. The nomad attempts to push all thoughts of the horseman out of his mind. His head filled with positivity he’s able to fall asleep with ease. A loud sound shakes the nomad awake. He’s silent the noise becomes clearer the clatter of horses feet can be heard. He does not move, if he pushes the sound out of his head “if I’m not thinking about him he will just go away” sound gets louder. “He will just go away” the nomad repeats. The sound gets closer. “GO AWAY!” the nomad screams before turning to see the pitch black eyes of the pale horseman. The nomad runs from the house and doesn’t look back. On the run again, the nomad stumbles upon a church. He bangs on the door “Please, help me the pale horseman is coming for me!” A priest opens the door and asks “ why do you want to escape the horseman?” The nomad frantically answers “He’ll take me!” The priest, confused, asks “take you where?” “I don’t know” the nomad replies “that’s the truly terrifying part, I don’t know where he takes those he catches or what he does with them when they get there.” Priest looks at the nomad and puts a hand on his shoulder. “This is not living, running from place to place to evade an inevitability, he will catch you, might as well pray that he takes you somewhere pleasant.” The nomad can hear the clopping of horse hooves behind him. He turns and looks into the sunken black holes of the pale horseman. The nomad does not run as the horseman gets closer and closer. He thinks to himself “I might as well go, maybe the priest is right he’ll take me somewhere pleasant” The horseman inches closer extending his arm preparing to grab the nomad. His mind begins to wander “what if he takes me to a repulsive dungeon, where he tortures his victims, what if he reduces me to just kindling for his never ending fire, worst of all what it he takes me nowhere.” The pale skeleton like hand centimeters away from him. He sprints running as fast as his legs will carry him. The nomad fled across the country and the pale horseman followed.
