Our golden, fiery ball

Boldly arcing across the blue,
rivers a-glitter, sparkle anew,
colours awakened, vivid the scene
(– moonlight just paints with a silver sheen),
rays pour down from our golden orb
alighting on trees which capture, absorb
to spark manufacture, nourish and grow;
white gold splits up into spectrum bow
as storm yields to sunshine, soothing long,
uplifting and restful, exciting a song
– when sky’s thickly veiled, we yearn for gold,
return of the brilliance, countering cold:
a golden universe, with water and shade
where only happiness will pervade.
