Down he comes in the usual way.
milk for your ‘Tay , at the break of day
he looks around at the empties on the ground
he picks them up and he lays them down ,’
Clink Clink Clink Clinkety clink five fingers full ,
Its time for him to get to school ,
In the early hours of the morning light ,
its all right cause the coffee’s white,
a little note left here and there
for an extra pint , if there’s one to spare.
Drink drink drink drinkety drink a pint a day,
sure Bobs your uncle and life’s ok .
The milkman’s knows his way around
from door to door all through the town,
as fast as he can , time is tight .
Some dogs bark , others bite .
Blink, blink, blink , blinkety blink
my oh my how time goes by
With the wink of an eye .
Goodbye , the Milkman’s gone away .
