It was seven in the morning, and Fran’s alarm clock has started ringing deafeningly. Grunting, Fran searched for the clock with his eyes closed and turned it off before getting up into sitting position.
Rubbing his eyes, he weakly muttered “Ergh, so early… Why did I set the alarm so early…” Fran then left his bed and make his way to the bathroom
He then looked at the bathroom mirror. "To cut... or not to cut?" he asked to himself as he played with his long dark brown, almost ebony-coloured hair. "Eh, I'll just keep it. It looks nice after all" Fran thought before taking off his clothes and taking the shower.
Once he finished putting on a new set of clothes; a black shirt with a grey jean, he left his room and walked towards the kitchen's fridge. Plastered on the fridge, was a sort of table about whose turn to cook for a certain day and time.
"Sunday... morning... yeah, it's my turn," he said before opening the fridge, seeing what's in for him to cook.
As he was cooking, he heard footsteps coming towards the kitchen. "What are you cooking, Fran?"
"Just some sausage and eggs"
"That's it? We're reaching middle school, be more diligent" Guren complained as he walked to Fran's side.
"Shut up, I don't care," Fran said, looking away. Guren then turned his head and looked at Fran's long hair. "Are you planning to cut these long hair of yours?" Fran shook his head.
"I've taken a liking to this hair. Plus, I kinda look cool with long hair, don't you think?" he said as he flipped the egg in the frying pan.
"Whatever then. Have you packed your bag?" asked Guren. "Yeah, I've packed 'em last night"
"Okay then. Imma go take a shower first. Make sure the egg's not overcooked!" Guren said before leaving the kitchen.

"Have you two done packing your stuff?" Larson asked as she and the twin ate Fran's breakfast on the dining table. The twins nodded their heads as they were chewing on their food. She then smiled and said, "Can't believe my kid's old enough to go to a middle school. Time sure flies fast..."
"Say, big sis. Is Reug will not be there as well?" Guren asked once he finished his plate and wiped his mouth. Larson shook her head and replied, "Yes, unfortunately. He's still on a mission right now. Hurry up and finish your plate Fran, then change into your school uniform. If we arrived there late, there'll be a lot of people." Larson said before leaving.

It was a huge school complex. Roughly two hundred thousand yards, standing tall and proud. Soshi Academy; an academy built specifically for special students who have powers, called Elements. Students are walking, chatting hanging around the gate, some are third-year, some just attended it for their first day.
A blue sedan stopped beside the school's signboard, its motto "Coming as a student, leaving as a saviour". The blue sedan's back door opened, as Fran stepped out, Guren following behind. The window for the driver's seat then rolled down, revealing Larson. "Do you need help with anything?" she asked.
Both brunets shooked their head as they opened the car's trunk and took out their luggage and bags. "It's okay, we can handle it ourselves. Thanks for sending us, big sis" thanked Fran as he closed the trunk.
"You're welcome. Have a great semester, both of you" Larson said before shutting the window and drove off. The twin then walked together inside.
They registered their name without any problem, as they were not many people, just like Larson had said. They then were assigned to different rooms.
"Kawasaki Fran, room 6. Kawasaki Guren, room 3. The hostel is under the school compound. Just take these stairs down and you'll see it two floors later. The other students in those rooms had arrived, too. You can just knock on the door" the teacher in charge explained. The two kids nodded in unison before walking on the path told.
When they reached the room labelled with the number 3, the twin bid goodbye to each others before Fran continued walking, examining the outer side of each room. "Looks like the space is pretty big, not gonna lie" he commented before he reached the room with the number 6 embedded on the door. "Guess this is my room. Wonder what kind of roommates will I have" he said to himself before knocking on the door.
With a response of "Come in" from inside, Fran opened the door, greeting the person inside "Sorry to interrupt, I am Kawasaki Fran- huh?"
Sitting on a bed, reading a book which was now closed, was a girl.
