Gliding Through Woods
By Richard L. Provencher

Above rustling leaves
on a hillside trail
the wind is a vagabond
of change;
It begins to rain
and wind a task-master
as moisture arrives
on land now surrounded
by water of goodwill-
soon to be - golden grain
to come forth
from sunny days
free of clouds in whiskers
of grey - blown away
and loosened leaves
bring their song
of Spring
settling in for Summer’s
breath of peace
and plentiful crops.
